Abstract
Departuring from the author's curiosity about the phenomenon of children's accountability in the household financial aspect as an implementation of household accounting values, this research aims to find out how children interpret accountability in the financial aspect towards their mother so that it can influence their relationship with their mother. In the relationship between children and mothers, household accounting is not only seen from the material side, but also the emotional side of each individual which is influenced by thought patterns, common sense, values, beliefs and emotions. The research method used is qualitative with an interpretive paradigm and phenomenological approach. The informants in this research were three people who had different backgrounds and were related to accountability in aspects of household finances. The research results obtained show how children interpret their mother's presence and understand their financial accountability through daily experiences and interactions. The novelty of this research is the topic of accountability in aspects of household finances from the child's side which has never been discussed by previous researchers.
