Abstract

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada era globalisasi terjadi peningkatan waktu layar telepon pintar pada mahasiswa yang dapat menyebabkan keluhan nyeri leher dan bahu. Rata-rata waktu layar telepon pintar yang dijadwalkan untuk mahasiswa adalah 10,48±2,87 jam/hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan waktu layar telepon pintar terhadap keluhan nyeri leher dan bahu pada mahasiswa FKUPNVJ. Penelitian menggunakan desain potong lintang dengan besar sampel 97 orang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuesioner Neck Disability Index untuk mengukur keluhan nyeri leher, Numeric Rating Scale untuk mengukur keluhan nyeri bahu dan aplikasi waktu layar untuk mengetahui lama waktu layar telepon pintar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar (68%) subjek adalah perempuan, berusia 19 tahun dengan mayoritas ukuran layar telepon pintar ≥5,8 inchi sebanyak 85,6% disertai posisi duduk menunduk 46,4%. Rata-rata waktu layar telepon pintar 7-12 jam/hari, 2,1% mengalami keluhan nyeri leher sedang dan 10,3% mengalami keluhan nyeri bahu sedang. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara waktu layar telepon pintar dengan keluhan nyeri leher (p =0,612) dan nyeri bahu(p = 0,474).

The study used a cross-sectional design with a sample size of 97 people. The research instruments used were the Neck Disability Index questionnaire to measure complaints of neck pain, the Numeric Rating Scale to measure complaints of shoulder pain and the screen time application to determine the length of smartphone screen time. The research results showed that the majority (68%) of the subjects were women, aged 19 years, with the majority of smartphone screen sizes ≥5.8 inches, 85.6% with 46.4% sitting down. The average smartphone screen time is 7-12 hours/day, 2.1% complain of moderate neck pain and 10.3% complain of moderate shoulder pain. Statistical test results showed that there was no significant relationship between smartphone screen time and complaints of neck pain (p = 0.612) and shoulder pain (p = 0.474).
