Abstract

Information technology has become an important milestone in supporting various aspects of life, including in the field of education, encouraging us to continue to adapt to technological advances in order to remain superior. Learning institutions such as Bimbel Demi Pena have not fully utilized technology. In the registration process, the tutor still manages student data manually by recording it in a book or paper so that the risk of loss and damage to manual data records because in the process the admin collects registration data using paper and this process is very likely to lose or tear the paper which of course will be detrimental to the tutor and students. In addition, the learning in this tutoring has not been integrated into the system so that students have difficulty accessing learning materials. The solution to overcome this problem is to create an application that can help admins in managing data and supporting the student learning process. The application design process involves problem analysis using the PIECES approach, visual modeling with UML, and using the waterfall design method. The process of coding this application uses Visual Studio Code and the CodeIgniter framework and MySQL as its database. This research has resulted in a website-based Bimdel Demi Pena application to manage student data, manage materials and questions, manage classes and manage payment reports so that it makes it easier for admins to manage administration. This system also provides access to materials and practice questions for students, thereby increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of the learning process. These features are designed to support students in accessing subject matter more easily and in a structured manner, as well as providing practice questions that can be done at any time, so that the student learning process becomes more flexible Keywords: Tutoring, Website, CodeIgniter
