Abstract

Technological developments have changed various aspects of human life, including education. This study examines the use of information technology in the admission of new students to Islamic boarding schools. Currently, this Islamic boarding school still relies on conventional methods that are inefficient in disseminating information and managing data. Through interviews and analysis of ongoing registration procedures, it was found that information dissemination is still limited to social media with limited reach, and data management tends to be manual and prone to errors. Therefore, it is essential to develop a web-based admission system to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the new student enrollment process. This website will facilitate the integrated registration, selection and results announcement process. The implementation of information technology is expected to reduce the time and energy required in the administrative process, as well as improve the quality of the experience of accepting new students at this Islamic boarding school. This research applies the waterfall method in system development to ensure planned and structured development stages.
