Abstract
The Academic Information System (SIAKAD) is used by educational institutions to manage academic information. UPN Veteran Jakarta, as an educational institution, has SIAKAD, but it is currently web-based. Although the website functions well, it has limitations in terms of accessibility and efficiency, requiring users to use a web browser to access academic information. Based on a survey of 80 students from the Faculty of Computer Science at UPN Veteran Jakarta, 67.5% stated that SIAKAD would be more effective as a mobile application, with 81.3% of respondents using Android smartphones. Flutter, a framework developed by Google using the Dart programming language, was chosen to develop this application due to its advantages in supporting multiplatform development and integrating logic with UI through widgets. This research aims to design and develop a mobile SIAKAD application for Android to enhance the accessibility and efficiency for students in obtaining academic information. The development process used the Agile methodology with the Scrum framework. The result of this research is an Android-based SIAKAD application with key features such as viewing class schedules, accessing transcripts, tuition payment information, course registration (KRS), and EDOM assessments. The application also uses Firebase as the database and includes notification features to remind students of their schedules, making it easier for and supporting students of the Faculty of Computer Science at UPN Veteran Jakarta to access academic information more efficiently.
