Abstract

This research aims to (1) Create an application for introducing the UPN “Veteran” Jakarta environment at the Pondok Labu campus based on augmented reality with the application of the fast corner detection algorithm, (2) Apply the Fast Corner Detection Algorithm to scan different markers, (3) Apply the marker-based method by creating different markers for each building in the application of introducing the UPN “Veteran” Jakarta environment at the Pondok Labu campus. The method that the author uses in this research is to use the ADDIE model where there are several stages, namely analysis, design, develop, implement, and evaluate. The data collection that the author does is by observation and survey. The data that has been collected will become resources in making augmented reality applications. The conclusions of this study are (1) The UPN "Veteran" Jakarta augmented reality application on the Pondok Labu campus has been successfully designed and built using the Unity platform and also the Augmented Reality Software Development Kit (SDK), namely Vuforia, (2) The Fast Corner Detection algorithm plays an important role in detecting and recognizing markers quickly and accurately. This algorithm works by identifying corner points on the marker which are then used to distinguish one marker from another, (3) In the application of marker-based in this application, 10 different markers are needed and also 10 3D objects for each building and several facilities in UPNVJ Pondok Labu campus. Each marker has been programmed to bring up a 3D object when recognized by the AR camera. Each marker has been programmed to bring up a 3D object when recognized by the AR camera. The advantages of this method are that it has high accuracy, has a fast response, and can provide a more immersive and interactive AR experience.
