Abstract

The word "discipline" is very common and we even use it in everyday activities such as work, school and worship. Deep self-awareness to follow and comply with the norms and principles that apply in a particular environment is called discipline. The discipline of everyone in the school, including students, can be a supporter of the success of the school's vision and mission. The process of selecting Discipline Ambassadors in Junior High Schools (SMP) also has an important value, namely because a Discipline Ambassador has the opportunity to be a role model and motivate other students to become better and more orderly students. Therefore, SMP PGRI 2 Ciledug has a Discipline Ambassador program for the most disciplined students or can be said to be the students who obey the school rules the most. In order to achieve selection that is fair, transparent and based on accurate data, the use of decision support systems is becoming increasingly relevant. This research was conducted to build a decision support system for determining disciplinary ambassadors using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. The research method used consists of 8 stages, namely problem formulation, literature study, data collection, needs analysis, design, implementation, testing and documentation. The criteria used as key parameters for decision making are total late arrivals, number of absences (alpha), and number of violation points. The result of this research is a web-based decision support application for determining disciplinary ambassadors using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method which can help SMP PGRI 2 Ciledug in determining disciplinary ambassadors who comply with predetermined criteria.
