Abstract

The right to social security for the Indonesian people is a mandate from the constitution of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, namely as stated in the Amended 1945 Constitution. This is in accordance with the provisions in Article 28H paragraph 3 (three) which states that "Everyone has the right to social security that allows him to fully develop himself as a dignified human being". And Article 34 paragraph 2 (two) which states that "The state develops a social security system for all people and empowers people who are weak and unable in accordance with human dignity" Because of the mandate of the constitution, the state must implement it which was preceded by issuing the Decree of the People's Consultative Assembly Number X/MPR/2001, which in this decree essentially assigns the President as head of state and government to establish a National Social Security System (SJSN). in order to provide more comprehensive and integrated social protection for all Indonesian citizens.
