Abstract
With the The increasing prevalence of human trafficking has become a concern with the rise of social media as one of the risk factors for human trafficking, The purpose of this research is to find out how the form of modus operandi and online scam factors in the crime of human trafficking in new dimension crimes, this crime spreads in the form of organized and unorganized crime networks. This crime does not only involve individuals but also involves entire corporations and state officials abusing their positions and powers. The method used in this research is to use the type of Normative research based on the approach of legislation and cases (Research you Development), the steps include analyzing the potential and problems by means of penduhuluan studies through literature studies and field studies, with data collection by observation. The results of the research in the form of the development of this new trend are considered very concerning, because in online scam cases there are many forms of changes in recruitment, characteristics of victims, and characteristics of perpetrators. So that in this problem there is a lot to learn about the factors that become the basis for the perpetrator in launching his action and also the form of the modus operandi of online scam in the crime of trafficking in persons.
