Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) in children is an infection caused by the Mycobacterium tuberculosis bacteria that attacks children under the age of 15 years. TB children have a more difficult tendency to detect, so it can cause delays in the handling of children. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence the events of children's TB in DKI Jakarta in 2020–2022. This study uses a cross-sectional study design with secondary data surveillance TB based on individual data treatment cards in 2020–2022, with a sample size of 1,703. Variables examined include age, gender, contact history, BCG immunization, and nutritional status. The prevalence of TB in children in DKI Jakarta in 2020–2022 is 2.9%. The results of the multivariate analysis showed age (POR 4,76 95% CI: 2,44-9,29), gender (POR 3,48 95% CI: 1,75-6,90), and contact history (POR 0, 28 95% CI: 0,15-0,54) are variables that have a relationship with the incidence of children's TB in DKI Jakarta. The dominant factor in the incidence of children's TB in DKI Jakarta in 2020–2022 is age.
