Abstract
Poverty is a form of problem that still really occurs and must be addressed, because if it is not addressed it will become an obstacle to regional development and equality of development. The purpose of writing this research is to determine the effect of average wages, GRDP, government spending, and open unemployment rates on poverty in West Sumatra Province, by taking samples using saturated sampling techniques in 19 regencies/cities for the 2017-2022 period, so the research sample amounts to 114 data. sourced from BPS West Sumatra. The research uses panel data regression analysis methods with the help of E-Views 12 software with the best model, Fixed Effect Models. The research results state that average wages do not explain a significant influence on poverty, GRDP explains a significant influence on poverty, government spending explains a significant influence on poverty, and the open unemployment rate does not explain a significant influence on poverty. And simultaneously the average wage, GRDP, government spending, and the open unemployment rate influence poverty in West Sumatra.
