Abstract

In the digital age, accounting students need to develop skills that are relevant to technological advancements to remain competitive in the job market. This quantitative study investigated the impact of big data analytics skills on the employability of accounting students. The study was conducted on accounting students at UPN Veteran Jakarta who are familiar with big data analytics, namely those who have taken or are currently taking the big data analytics course. A purposive sampling technique was used to select a sample of 88 students. Hypothesis testing in this study utilized Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with the SmartPLS 4.0 software and a significance level of 5% (0.05). The results of the test showed that both hard skills and soft skills in big data analytics have a positive impact on the employability of accounting students, with soft skills having a more significant impact.
