Abstract
This study aims to examine the differences in financial performance and market reaction before and after right issue. Samples that being examined in this study are companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange and commit right issue in 2018-2021 with total sample of 33 companies using a purposive sampling. Financial performance variables that examined are profitability (ROE), liquidity (CR), and leverage (DER). Meanwhile, market reaction variables that examined are abnormal return and trading volume activity. Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test and paired sample t-test are used for data analysis. The result of this study shows that there are no significant differences in profitability, liquidity, leverage, and abnormal return, while there is a different in trading volume activity.
