Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of profitability and solvability on stock returns with Good Corporate Governance as a moderating variable. The population in this study consists of non-cyclical consumer companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period from 2020 to 2022. Data were collected using purposive sampling method, resulting in 222 samples. The analytical technique used was panel data regression analysis. The results indicate that profitability does not have a significant influence on stock returns (rejecting hypothesis one), solvability has a significant influence on stock returns (accepting hypothesis two), and Good Corporate Governance cannot moderate the influence of profitability and solvability on stock returns (rejecting hypotheses three and four).
