Abstract
This research is a quantitative study that aims to test and determine the effect of non-performing loans, capital adequacy ratio, and company size on profitability in conventional banks. This study uses a population of banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) with an observation period of 2019-2022. The sampling method used purposive sampling method with 41 companies observed with a total of 164 samples. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis with the help of STATA software version 14 and a significance level of 5% (0.05). Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it is concluded that the non-performing loan variable has no significant effect on profitability. Then, the capital adequacy ratio variable has no significant effect on profitability. Furthermore, the company size variable has a significant positive effect on profitability.
