Abstract

Most people think that teenage marriage is motivated by the factor of married by accident. Not only that, teenage marriages are often referred to as marriages that will not last long because of the psychological impact they will experience such as anxiety and stress. In fact, this stigma can be refuted because one of the factors of harmony in marriage is communication. For this reason, this study aims to describe how to control emotions, and what are the most important factors in communication so that marriage can be harmonious. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative by looking for primary sources and secondary sources. The selected data collection technique is interviews. Researchers used data analysis which was divided into 3 stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of the study said that they decided to marry at a young age because of internal factors, and the environment around external factors. Then, teenage marriage can indeed cause anxiety and stress, almost all sources said that the way to control emotions is to remain silent. Meanwhile, the six informants agreed that verbal communication is still the main communication in interactions. Meanwhile, five out of six informants said that the most important factors in a household so that households are openness, mutual trust, and good listeners.
