Abstract

Electrical energy is a major need for society and is the main source of energy most needed for various activities. The need for electricity will continue to increase in the future along with population growth and development, as well as technological developments. Indonesia is located on the equator, this causes Indonesia to have abundant solar energy sources with an average sunlight intensity of around 4.8 kWh/m2 per day throughout Indonesia. Therefore, solar panels are an alternative that can be used as a source of electrical energy for the community. To get the maximum power of solar panels can be done in two ways, namely by adjusting the power output and maximizing the amount of sunlight that reaches the surface of the solar panel. To maximize sunlight that is always moving, a tool that can follow the movement called a solar tracker is made. In addition to using solar tracking, the output of solar panels can also be increased by using solar reflectors. Based on this, research was conducted on the use of solar trackers and reflectors to maximize the output of solar panels.
