Abstract

Achieving sustainable economic growth depends on the financial system's stability. This study aims to examine the influence of monetary policy factors such as inflation, interest rates, and the money supply, as well as financial inclusion, on financial system stability in Southeast Asian countries. Researchers chose Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand as research subjects using a non-probability sampling technique because these five countries have the most significant economic growth in Southeast Asia and have financial systems with diverse characteristics. This study has a sample size of 85 because it uses secondary data from 2005 to 2021. Information was obtained from the official websites of the World Bank, IMF, and Central Banks of Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines. The analysis of this study uses the panel data regression method with the fixed effect model as the model of choice. The findings of the study indicate that financial inclusion, interest rates, and the money supply significantly harm financial system stability. However, the financial system's stability is not too affected by inflation.
