Abstract
Stroke can cause sensory, motor, and cognitive function defects if left unchecked which can affect the patient's quality of life and patient prognosis. Nearly half of stroke survivors have neuropsychological deficits with scant research data. Therefore, this research was conducted to describe cognitive function in ischemic stroke patients, especially patients at RS PON Jakarta. in 2021. The study was conducted using a cross-sectional descriptive design by collecting secondary data on patients with a diagnosis of ischemic stroke from 1 January 2021 – 31 December 2021 at PON Jakarta Hospital. The result shows the mean age of the patients was 61.2 years with the majority of patients being male. There was a majority of mild cognitive dysfunction (86.8%) with a total mean of 17.5. More patients were reported with normal cognitive function (47.1%), followed by mild cognitive function disorder (29.4%), and severe cognitive function disorder (23.5%). The conclusion is distribution of ischemic stroke patients in RS PON Jakarta, it was mostly found in male patients (69.1%) and in the age range of 55-65 years (38.2%). With the majority of cognitive function of mild ischemic stroke patients (86.8%) and normal cognitive function (47.1%).
