Abstract
Fatigue is often encountered by nurses, this becomes a problem caused by an imbalance in the workload of nurses or because of the lack of stability in the position of nurses at work. It was found that 5 nurses were on duty in the Hemodialysis room at Bhayangkara Hospital TK.I R. Sukanto. As many as 3 nurses (60%) were in the tired category, and 2 nurses (40%) were in the not tired category. Based on these findings, the authors aim to manage nurse fatigue by applying relaxation techniques, namely acupressure therapy. This case study begins by distributing the Fatigue Severity Scale (FSS) questionnaire, after collecting fatigue data, the authors then carry out implementation in accordance with Evidence Based Nursing (EBN) acupressure therapy. The therapy is given for 14 minutes with 6 acupressure points where each point lasts 2 minutes, the therapy lasts for 9 sessions. After the intervention was carried out, a post test was carried out using the same questionnaire to find out the description of nurse fatigue after being given therapy. The results of the post test showed a decrease in the level of fatigue by 9-19 point scores from the pre test and post test results. The author hopes to use the application of Evidence Based Nursing (EBN) such as acupressure therapy to overcome fatigue in nurses.
