Abstract

The development of the times, especially in the field of technology where more and more various fields are affected by the progress of this era. Especially with the progress of buying and selling through social media where business actors offer their goods or services via social media such as Instagram. As in the online delivery service business carried out on Instagram social media which is on the rise, especially during this pandemic, online delivery services can help people to get the goods they want in accordance with the agreement between consumers and business actors. So with the increasing number of consumers who use online deposit services, it is possible that a problem will arise between business actors and consumers. as in the case of goods that come not in accordance with what was agreed upon and make the consumer harmed. So in that case, the purpose of this research is to know the protection for consumers in online Instagram deposit services if the goods that come are not in accordance with the agreement and also to find out how the responsibility must be carried out by business actors if this happens. The author in this study uses a research method with a normative type of research with a legal and conceptual approach. This research also contains various theories that have relevance value as well as previous research. In the research that the author does in this case, it is based on the type of primary and secondary research that has relevance as a reference for the author in conducting research and the method of collecting data with literature studies. referring to Articles 4 (four) and 16 (sixteen) besides that it can also interfere with the ITE Law which is related to electronic transactions. In addition, there is accountability from business actors if there are problems in terms of goods that arrive not in accordance with the agreement, in this case it can be seen from Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning consumer protection in Article 19 paragraphs (1) and (2).
