Abstract
Risky sexual behaviors put young people at risk for HIV infection, sexually transmitted infections and unintended pregnancy. An estimated 10 million unintended pregnancies among girls aged 15-19 occur each year in developing countries, about 777,000 give birth, 5.6 million have abortions with 3.9 million in unsafe procedures. In 2019, 2.5% adolescents in DKI Jakarta admitted have had premarital sexual relations. This study aims to analyze the determinants of premarital sexual behavior among adolescents in DKI Jakarta based on the 2019 Performance and Accountability Survey. This is a cross-sectional study from 1,688 respondents. Data analyzed by using univariate analysis, bivariate with chi square, and multivariate with multiple logistic regression. The results indicates that determinants of premarital sexual behavior are sex, age, attitudes, and community roles. The attitude was the most dominant determinant of premarital sexual behavior in adolescents (POR=18.1; 95% CI=8.76-37.2), it means that adolescents that have negative attitudes were 18.1 times more likely to have premarital sexual behavior. Therefore, it is hoped that all stakeholder will participate to raise adolescents' knowledge and awareness through education to prevent premarital sexual behavior.
