Abstract
Hypertensive patients are at risk for experiencing chronic symptoms if they are infected with SARS-CoV-2. Efforts to overcome Covid-19 through health protocols can be influenced by factors of individual knowledge and attitudes. This study aims to determine and analyze the relationship between the knowledge and attitudes on compliance of the 6M Covid-19 health protocol by hypertensive patients at Pertamina Central Hospital. This research method is a quantitative cross sectional study with an analytical observational design; used 55 respondents who were selected by consecutive sampling technique in the population of hypertensive patients in the Pertamina Central Hospital. The instrument uses a questionnaire and patient blood pressure data. Univariate analysis showed that most of the respondents; 35 respondents (63,7%) had good knowledge; 32 respondents (58.2%) had very good attitudes, and 35 respondents (63.6%) had good health protocol compliance practice. Bivariate analysis showed that knowledge p-value = 0.728 and attitude p-value = 0.938. : Knowledge and attitude variables did not show a significant association with adherence to health protocols in hypertensive patients at Pertamina Central Hospital because ‘pandemic fatigue’ among society and other factors affected knowledge and attitude factor
