Abstract

For a long time, Cikoneng District, Ciamis Regency has been known to be a craft center in the field of processed snacks. For the production process of snacks in Cikoneng, most of the craftsmen still use traditional tools, the limited tools used have caused delays in the production process. This is shown from working on the production process which is still simple and still manual, resulting in a limited amount of production capacity. Therefore we need a production machine that can overcome the problems of producing snacks manually, can increase production capacity, be more efficient with time, and save more production area. From these problems, researchers will make a breakthrough to help solve these problems. In this study, we will try to make a production machine that works continuously in order to increase production capacity so that it can meet consumer demand. In addition, the continuous use of production machines will also reduce production costs by reducing the need for labor. In this study, the author carried out the process of designing a dough kneading machine starting from making alternative designs, selecting designs, analyzing designs, then the fabrication stage. From the results of the research, it was found that the dough kneading machine has a capacity of 140 kg/hour with an electric motor drive with a power of 2 HP and uses a gearbox transmission system with a ratio of 1:30.
