Abstract

The development of hotels in the capital city is currently increasing so many people make hotels to be an option for vacation. The hotel's supporting facilities are important aspect in perfecting the needs and comfort of visitors, which one is hot water. Construction of a hot water facility, must be designed properly because the hot water design system must comply with predetermined standards, including the capacity of the heating boiler (hot water boiler) needed, the size of the pipe diameter needed, the capacity of the circulation pump and the circulation pump head. To be able to meet the design of the hot water piping system in a 9-story hotel building with a total of 90 rooms, a hot water boiler capacity of 348000 kcal / hour is needed. The design results of hot water piping system are divided into two, the main pipe and the dividing pipe, for the main pipe using an inner diameter of 65.4 mm and an outer diameter of 90 mm. The 2nd floor, it uses an inner diameter of 54.4 mm and an outer diameter of 75 mm, for the 3rd floor it uses an inner diameter of 21.2 mm and an outer diameter of 32 mm and for the 8th floor it uses an inner diameter of 33.4 mm and an outer diameter of 50 mm. The distribution of hot water to the rooms use circulation pump according to the calculation result requires pump capacity is 412 liters / minute and a pump head of 50.24 m.
