Abstract

Sports have evolved into a way of life in today's society. In recent years, running has become one of the most popular sports. Injury is a possibility in running, as it is in any other sport. According to study, elite runners experience 2.5 injuries every 1000 hours, while amateur runners experience 33 injuries every 1000 hours. The goal of this study was to see if there was a link between the type of training and the risk of injury in recreational runners. The study employed a cross-sectional design with 48 respondents who completed a questionnaire. The independent variable in this study was the character of training, while the dependent variable was Musculoskeletal Injury. The correlation coefficient Spearman's rho Exercise Frequency has a p value of 0.109, Running Distance has a p value of 0.095, Running Duration has a p value of 0.006, Footstep Type has a p value of 0.004, Landing Foot Type has a p value of 0.255, and Criteria for Changing Shoes has a p value of 0.369. The researchers came to the conclusion that the character of training has no association on the prevalence of musculoskeletal injury.
