Abstract

This study aims to analyze how Indonesia is committed to implementing regulations related to corruption in the private sector because it has ratified the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC) as a form of action to eradicate private corruption in Indonesia in 2014-2018. Indonesia as a country that ratified the UNCAC world anti-corruption regime is considered not fully compliant because it does not yet have regulations related to corruption in the private sector in its corruption law. UNCAC as an international regime contains regulations on corruption in the private sector, namely Article 12 concerning the prevention and punishment of private corruption, Article 21 concerning bribery in the private sector. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of interview studies. The data obtained will be analyzed using the theory of compliance that the authors will use to see Indonesia's compliance with UNCAC. The results of this study indicate that Indonesia does not yet have regulations related to corruption in the private sector, it has not been included in the Indonesian Corruption Eradication Law because it has several obstacles such as the not yet maximal definition of private corruption in the Indonesian language. law to the lack of oversight from UNCAC as the world's international anti-corruption regime. However, Indonesia is still trying to implement regulations, especially Article 12 concerning the prevention of corruption in the private sector by making regulations that ensnare corporations and socializing them as preventive measures.
