Abstract

Complementary food for breast milk is nutritional intake to support the needs of infants and toddlers. Malnutrition in infants can lead to impaired growth and mental development, decreased intelligence, and can even be a cause of death. This is one of the problems that occurs in Indonesia and to improve infant nutrition problems is by predicting the composition of food ingredients using backpropagation neural networks, so that it can adjust the nutritional needs of babies. This study uses primary data, namely the composition of the ingredients and the value of macronutrients in the fruit jelly recipe. Based on trial and error with a combination of parameters such as a hidden layer of 5 neurons, an activation function, namely softplus, epochs of 90,000 iterations and a learning rate of 1. performance MSE training of 0,00619 and MSE testing of 0,00806.
