Abstract

The implementation of production scheduling has a very important role for the stability of a company's activities. Every company tries to get the most effective scheduling to increase company productivity with the minimum total cost (cost, time, and risk). A scheduling strategy can be said to be the most optimal solution if it has the smallest makespan value. PT. Nusa Indah Jaya Utama is one of the largest automotive parts manufacturers that provides press and automotive parts production services for well-known automotive companies such as PT. Mitsubishi Kramayuda Motors, PT. TVS India and PT. Astra Indonesia. As a company that implements flowshop production, the possible algorithm on finding the best scheduling solution is to use the classic heuristic method which includes the Palmer method, Campbell Dudek Smith (CDS) method, and Nawaz Enscore Ham (NEH) method. Each method has a special iteration that is different from each other, so by processing data using these three methods, the smallest makespan value is 79.80 seconds with the job sequence of J1-J3-J5-J4-J2 from the Nawaz Enscore Ham (NEH) method. The dispatch list solution can optimize the production completion time of "Bracket shock engine Mtg-39" by 5.33 seconds or 5.93% of the initial completion time
