Abstract

Ships have been an option of transportation of goods and people ever since a long time ago. Every ship that is built, of course, needs to be taken care of so that the productivity and safety of the ship is maintained. One of the means to carry out ship maintenance is by using a floating dock. To support this, of course, it is necessary to take care of the floating dock itself to avoid damage and produce maximum lift. In this study, the author will analyze about evaluating the lifting power of the Jayakerta III floating dock as the impact of repairs due to damage, so that the resulting lift can be seen after repairs are made to be used as a reference for consideration by the shipyard in receiving ships to be repaired. To achieve this goal, an analysis of the lifting capacity of the pontoon or ton lifting capacity is carried out to find out how much lifting power the floating dock currently has.
