Abstract

Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is a measure of a country’s economy growth rate. There are many factors that influence a country’s rise in Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of the variable Government Expenditure, Fiscal Deficit, and External Debt on Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in Indonesia by using annual data from the 1989-2019 period. The data used for this research are secondary data provided by Badan Pusat Statistik, Kementerian Keuangan, and Bank Indonesia. The model used in this study is a Multiple Linear Regression model, which is a linear regression model involving more than one independent variable that has previously been tested with classical assumptions to meet the BLUE (Best Linear Unbiased Estimator) requirements. The results obtained from this research are Government Expenditure has an effect on Indonesia’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Fiscal Deficit and External Debt have no effect on Indonesia’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
